Canon has a long line of quality cameras that produces impressive picture quality. Its main feature of image stabilization is one of the best around. IXUS design is always ultra-compact that comes with stylish design and impressive build quality

This version of IXUS has a slight increase in the length of the zoom lens over its predecessors for better zoom and the LCD screen is top quality. You can view all excellent lighting and colours in the clear CCD display

When I tested it for photo taking, I noticed the shutter lag is similar in time as its previous IXUS predecessors, which is kinda slow at 0.37 seconds per single photo in my opinion. This timing comes from your typical average Canon digital camera and I would have thought IXUS 970 would have improved on it

What this camera has that’s different to other brands is that it oozes style. A unisex camera that appeals to everyone with its sleek stylish design. It will look good on those fashionista types

I took around 320 photos with the battery in full capacity during testing, and I suggest you buy a larger space memory cards as the provided one at 32MB is a paltry size. The camera is compatible with SD and SDHC cards by the way

For a point and shoot camera, it is the most priciest camera around, and the price is justified by the plenty of options added in Canon IXUS 970. Add to the cool design and quality of photos it produces, you can’t go wrong. There’s not much not to like about it
