BenQ expects one million unit sales of its digital camera

With BenQ latest digital camera release of the E1000, BenQ general manager Hank Horng for BenQ Taiwan states digital camera under BenQ brand name will reach one million units in 2007
Since the beginning of this year, BenQ has steadily sold 70,000-80,000 own-brand digital cameras each month worldwide
In China particularly, BenQ hit a record sales volume of 50,000 digital cameras due mainly to the long holiday the Chinese people are having at that point of time
Sales of BenQ digital camera have exceed 2006 figures in Taiwan market and BenQ expects to break into the top five brands in Taiwan for this year
BenQ latest digital camera released this week is the BenQ E1000 which is a 10-megapixel resolution camera with a 3-inch 230,000-pixel LTPS screen, a 3x optical zoom, a 4x digital zoom, automatic detection and tracking of up to nine faces for optimal focus.
It has a dimension of 96.1×58×22mm and weighs 135 gram. It currently priced at USD$270
