CHDK firmware enable RAW capabilities for low end Canon Cameras

If you think your old low end Canon digital cameras are just point and shoot, well you might be in for a delight as CHDK firmware that allows Canon digital cameras with DIGIC II processor to enable RAW capabilities
The CHDK firmware unlocks the features Canon disables in the low end models. Although this isn’t a way to replace your SLR, this options allows you to carry a portable small digital cameras with RAW options. CHDK is non-destructive
CHDK firmware also allows the following features
- Shooting in RAW
- Live histogram (RGB, blended, luminance and for each RGB channel)
- Zebra mode (blinking highlights and shadows)
- DOF-calculator
- Battery indicator
- Scripts execution (exposure/focus/ … bracketing, intervalometer and more)
- File browser
- Text reader
- Calendar
- Some tools and games
