Digital camera evolution, archives of data to handle
Posted September 22nd, 2007
Digital cameras are increasingly becoming more and more affordable and easy to use these days, and it’s not wonder more parents are documenting and snapping away at their kids development at every stage
As evident from a recent survey, some 7 percent of U.S. households had digital cameras last year, up from 42 percent in 2004.
The challenge now for digital camera makers, comes in managing all those photos and making sure it’s kept well. Will the babies of now grown up years from now have to flip through the plenty of CD casings of their photos, which can contain up to thousands of photos
In fact many parents concern is that managing such data can be overwhelming, as it takes the fun out of snapping the camera, when there’s a large need and time to catalog and process all the shots that have been taken
Many parents acknowledge their kids may never want all the photos, but they say they’d like to have them available just in case they want them — particularly as they become parents themselves.
