All you need to do is use the timer set to 10 seconds, and you don’t need someone to stand behind the camera to take the photo. All the members of the family can be present in the photo this way.

If you want to make the switch to expensive SLR cameras, buying this Minolta SLR camera is a good place to start. I say this because it has many of the features of a point and shoot model that works well for beginners. The one problem with it is that you can’t use it for photos with long exposure. Astro-photography is not one of the best uses for this digital camera from Minolta.

Still, by paying less than $300, you get a camera that is light and a 35-80mm kit lens. You can add any other lens or filters to the camera.
