The Apple iphone not only just a cellphone, it also has a great camera phone, plus other cool features
So when the news of iphone coming to Singapore after telco Singtel reached a deal with Apple, it was a joyous news for its 2.57 million Singtel mobile customers
Current iPhones only work on so-called 2.5G networks which offer much slower download speeds
Apple cited the high cost, large size and heavy power requirements of 3G chips as making them unsuitable for the iPhone when it was launched last June
The iphone coming to Singapore estimated around ‘late this year’ as announced, however will be 3G ready
It will have a new device may have a switch that lets users turn on 3G access when they want faster data speeds, and shut it off when they want to conserve battery power
But there’s a cause for concerns as Apple’s website announced recently that the company is out of stock on previous iPhone models
Apple’s new model of the iPhone, which will provide 3G access and faster data connection speeds is set to launch this coming June
