Posted November 17th, 2009
A camera is basically a sophisticated device that records images, which can be both moving or still. It is one of the most demanded electronic devices available in the market. Seeing the demand, many companies all around the world are engaged in manufacturing a wide range of cameras. Some of the biggest companies include Sony, Canon, Panasonic, etc. Two types of cameras single lens reflex (SLR) and rangefinder are very popular all over the world. A SLR camera only has one lens fitted in it and is generally used by professionals because its picture quality is magnificent. On the other hand, rangefinder cameras are pretty common and most of us must have used a rangefinder camera at some point in our lives. Now as you can see that everything is going digital, the cameras also had a great development and suddenly digital cameras became very popular all over the world. These cameras use an electronic image sensor to capture the image. The digital cameras are fitted with a memory card which can store numerous photos at once. But the biggest development was that these cameras were equipped with a small screen which instantly displayed the image you have clicked hence you were able to know how the pictures look in few seconds. Secondly as the pictures were stored on a memory card you can easily delete or transfer the picture which is a huge benefit. Another thing which went against the traditional film cameras is that the digital cameras can store thousands of images at once but film can only take 30-36 pictures on one roll in a traditional roll camera. The digital cameras are manufactured by all camera manufacturing companies and are supplied to all parts of the world. Now the demand of the manual SLR was decreasing hence the companies came out with a digital SLR. The digital SLR is a perfect device that is custom made for professionals so that they can record high quality images. The digital SLR offers numerous options to the photographer so that he can record world class still pictures. In this camera you can put a variety of lenses and even regulate the aperture and f stop of the camera. Such features are not provided in any other type of camera. A DSLR is fitted with even more features as it is fitted with a small screen which immediately displays the picture that you have clicked. You can easily remove the picture if you don’t like it. Additionally the digital SLR is fitted with a quality rechargeable battery which offers long battery back up and a hassle free performance. So if you want to record world class still pictures then buy a digital SLR. For any help on Camera, check out the info available online; these will help you learn to find the Cameras!
