How to Photograph a Beautiful Engagement Shoot
Posted February 24th, 2011
Are you a new photographer wanting to capture the perfect engagement shoot for your client? Well, there’s a couple of things you can do in advance to prepare for the perfect shoot. It all comes down to correspondence with your client, and you being prepared. Here’s a few things you can do to capture the perfect shoot. Request that you clients change their clothing at least once during their shoot. This will give you a lot more material for your portfolio, and more unique content to provide for your client. It’s very important to request that your clients spend a little time being prepared themselves, by selecting creative and interesting attire. It just makes for better photos. Plan to change locations at least twice. Get those different shots. It only helps your portfolio, when you can take your clients and place them in different atmospheres. Also, this is the perfect time for your clients to change their attire for these different mood setting environments. Think of the change of these venues, as a change in the mood setting for your photographs. Nature settings a fun and playful. These settings, although typical, do make for some fantastic photographs. City settings, again somewhat typical, make a great setting for classy photographs. In short, have your client change their clothes between the two settings, unless you are interested in photographing some country southerns in the big city. Spend a few minutes on the phone with you client to work out the details and your requirements before hand, and what’s expected to make a great photography session. Mark Englund and his wife Tracy are lead wedding photographers for ThisIsYou.net in Atlanta Georgia, who also maintain passports for international destination weddings.
