Photo Shop - Finding the Right Photo Editor For You

Posted April 30th, 2009

Having a good photo editor will make all of the difference in the world when you want to have quality pictures. Especially these days when everyone is able to print their own pictures.

What makes a good photo editor?

A good photo editor will allow you to fix common problems with pictures such as getting rid of red eyes, whitening teeth, enhancing the photo’s coloring, adjusting the background, and being able to lighten or darken the photograph as needed. You should also use one that will allow you to easily sort and find your photo’s.

How much does photo shop cost?

Photo shop ranges in cost from around $50 to over $200. The more you spend on the photo editing software the more it will do but unless you are a professional photographer a mid-grade photo shop should have everything you will need to make your photo’s look good.

What are the features of photo shop?

Photo shop now has a membership site that will allow you to store 1500 photo’s in their data base. That means that no matter where you go, if there is an Internet connection you can share your photo’s with people. For example, my grandma lives six hours away and when I go visit her I am able to show her a lot of pictures of her great grandson. This allows her to feel connected and to see all of the wonderful things he does even though there is a 300 mile distance between them.

You are able to select a specific section of a photo and add special effects to it with the bush of a button. You are able to switch between making it a color photo, a black and white photo, or you can use the feature color curves to get the perfect photo. You are also able to get rid of the clutter (cars, buildings) in the background of the photo with photo merge scene cleaner.

Photo shop allows you to make scrap book pages, cards, photo books, and allows you to easily and quickly organize your photo’s so you will always know where they are.

A great mid-grade photo shop is the Adobe Photo Shop Element 7. It has all of the features you will need without the heavy price tag that you don’t. To get the best deals on the Adobe Photo Shop Element 7 visit http://www.best-online-deals.net
