Gold Picture Frames - For Golden Memories

Posted November 28th, 2010

Memories are always special but some are special than others. These are memories which keep us alive, which allow us to indulge in some kind of nostalgia when we grow old and tell stories to our grandchildren, define who we are, and which mark important moments in our life. Some examples include the graduation day, or the day when you were engaged to your ladylove. These moments are something which you would always like to remember and cherish for the rest of your life. Thus, they have to be treated above the rest. It would be rather sad to just keep the pictures of these moments in some forgotten album, with some less important memories. You would want to relive these moments every day, and look at the pictures to keep reminding yourself of how special your life has been. For all these moments, gold frames are the best choice.

Gold picture frames

These days, gold picture frames are available at throw for cheap in plenty of exciting designs. You can even have them custom made to give them an extra special effect. These frames are made using some very good materials so that the shine and the colour remain intact for several years. The maintenance is extremely simple - just some minimal dusting each day will be sufficient to keep these pictures shining throughout the day. You can get these plain or in various ornate designs so that they match the rest of the room, and at the same time, stand out from the rest of the objects and decorative pictures that you may have placed.

For a single large picture

You could also put your most favourite picture in a large gold frame, and hang it over the fireplace or any spot where you want it to station in your home. These look very beautiful, as they match with almost any kind of interior. You must take care that the size is sufficient to cover up any bare walls, and at the same time, is not so large that it gives a cluttered appearance to the room. You can get these with a simple glass cover, or go for a special glass which will be able to fight off the effects of reflection of the light. This will ensure that the picture is visible in any kind of lighting. You can use such frames for walls which are directly opposite the lights in the room, or the windows.

Advantages

The biggest advantage of these frames is that they give a very royal appearance to the picture in question. They can make even the most ordinary picture look completely amazing with the gentle glow that they emit. There are many shades available as well. Thus, if your interiors are mostly in darker hues, you could go for a dark gold frame. Similarly if you want to put the picture in a room that is well lighted and bright, you could go for a lighter colour. You can take pictures of the room, and then use various frames to compare against the background for a better judgement.
