Tips on Having Good Photographs For Beginners
Posted August 17th, 2010
It is easy for beginners in photography to easily get discouraged whenever the pictures comes outs blurry or dark. It is easy to become overwhelmed particularly whenever experts are using terms such as aperture and shutter speed. Nonetheless, with more knowledge and practice you can easily find your way to capture the photo that you want. Here, are some common tips on the terms that you will encounter. First the shutter speed, it refers to the quantity of time that the shutter is left open and also light strikes the charge coupled devices (CCD). It converts the light that enters the lens into electric signals and makes the digital image. The shutter speed can be adjusted with the aperture to effective capture the image. The slower the speed means that the shutter is open for a longer time and more light is going on. The faster the speeds means decreased light is going in. It can create a freeze effect on fast moving subjects. The aperture functions in relation to the shutter speed. It is known as aperture value or AV. It reduces or increases the thickness of the light beam that passes through the lens and to CCD. Once you open the aperture and AV reduces and closing the aperture will increase the AV. You can open the aperture and focus on a subject. The background of the subject will be out of focus and emphasize only on the subject. In beginning photography, you have one common enemy, and that is the camera shake or the blur. It is when your camera moves at the same time the shutter is open thus causing a blurred picture. You can set your shutter speed higher to solve the problem. You can also raise the aperture and use a flash. You can also use a tripod to stabilize your camera as you take a shot. Do not let the terminology scare off in becoming a photographer. With just a few reading and experimenting with various setting in your camera, you can overcome this.
