How to Sell Your Photos and Make Money Online

Posted April 22nd, 2009

If you’re looking for a simple but fun way to make money online, consider selling photos over the Internet. All You need is a Digital Camera and internet Access to get started. Even if you are a rank amateur with no previous professional photography experience at all!

You can make up to hundreds or even thousands of extra dollars a week taking pictures and submitting them onto the internet in your spare time! You can make money even if you have absolutely no photography training to speak of. There is no need for expensive photography equipment or special printers because all of the photos you are taking will be uploaded directly to the internet.

When you bought your digital camera, you were probably thinking of being able to use it to take snapshots of family members, friends and special occasions. Maybe you did not consider making money with it but it is always a possibility.

Photography is a Rapidly-Growing Industry That Few People Know About!

It does not cost you anything to get started in digital photography as chances are you already have a digital camera and internet access. If you don’t, you can get both much cheaper today than they were just a couple of years ago. Also, with a digital camera you won’t have to pay for film or expensive photo processing equipment and chemicals.

You can be your own boss and choose your own work schedule! You can take vacations to anyplace in the world, whenever you want, for as long as you want! Nobody will ever fire you, your job is secure. You can decide when you want to work and how long or take a day of. You can spend as much time with your family and friends as you want. The decision is all yours.

Many beginners start with stock photography. There are always businesses looking for pictures to use for advertisements, brochures and websites and they will be happy to pay for your photos.

You have to decide if you want to sell your images on micro or macro stock photography sites. The difference is in the price range. At some places you are not allowed to sell the same photos again. They want exclusive rights and they pay more. You should also know before taking shots of people to get a signed release. Always read the terms and conditions before uploading your photos.

Taking captivating pictures cannot always be achieved by a camera alone. There are many free photo editing software programs that are easy to use and work well. You can experiment with your camera to control the lenses and choose the right angle and the right timing in shooting that breathless view you want to capture. You can learn so much from your own experience. The more you practice with your camera the better you get.

Digital photography is an exiting and rewarding career and so much fun. Learn how to sell your photos and make money online.
