7 Steps to Looking Photo Fabulous
Posted May 14th, 2010
It is very difficult to look natural when you have your photograph taken. Just because someone is photogenic does not mean that they are attractive. The truth is they are not intimidated by the camera. So how do you overcome your nervousness about facing the camera? Here are some tips and tricks to make you look fabulous. Looking Too Posed Get your mind focused on something else. Talk to the photographer, get your mind off the actual process. Never keep your hands right by your sides, clasp them in front of you or hold something. Leaning against something also helps to relax. Wrinkles Foundation and translucant powder are quick fixes to minimise those lines on your face. It is also important to get as much light on the face as possible. When taking photographs inside use a flash that hits you straight in the face as this tends to hide imperfections. Double Chin Positioning the camera at eye level or above cuts the risk of looking like you have a double chin. Project your chin out a bit more than normal to give yourself a long, thin neck in the photograph. Closed Eyes One two three does it every time. Close your eyes and ask the photographer to count to three. On three open them. Avoid taking photographs outside at noon. The sun is at its harshest and you will be inclined to squint. The light is more amber at four to five pm. Tired eyes If you have had a late night, focus just above the camera or over the shoulder of the photographer. Lifting of the eyebrows also show a bit of personality. Fake Smile Saying cheese usually produces a forced smile and looks fake. Ask the photographer to throw out an unexpected work like “sex” this will cause a genuine laugh and your expression should look natural. Red Eye Red eye occurs in a dim room when the irises have opened so much that the retinas, which are red with blood vessels, light up with the flash. To avoid this fix your eyes to the nearest light source just before the photograph is taken So no more excuses when the camera comes out. These 7 steps will have you looking fabulous in no time.
