Photo Sharing

Nowadays, the internet has become indispensable to the majority of the people. Thanks to the rapid development of the information age, people can save much of their time, energy and trouble to communicate with an expanded circle of contacts, even the person who they do not know, to learn more knowledge of various fields without attending courses, to trade with foreign companies on the other side of the ocean without a meeting. There could be cited more other advantages which internet growth has brought to us, but as far as I am concerned, the most interesting and fascinating benefit is to share photos with my near and dear ones at any time.

The reason why people like me who are in favor of sharing photos with others through internet might be summarized as follows:

First and foremost, remember the way we used to share photos with others many years ago? We had to print doubles and triples of important events and mail them back and forth or keep them in our albums and share with people when they pay visits. While this familiar way has been totally changed, with the development of times, digital photo sharing has taken an upswing in technology. It has become much simpler and more efficient that I just need to upload my photos taken by a digital camera and send them to anyone of my friends through internet immediately.

Secondly, to any net-surfer, it is necessary to sign in at least one of the famous social network sites which have netted well over millions of users, such as Facebook which is popular in America or Kaixin001.com and MySpace which are popular in China. With uploading photos constantly, I am used to share my life state and stories with friends through internet, such as what happened to me, what I am working on recently or even my new hair style. And I have become so addicted that as long as I received any comment from my friends, I will read and reply it right away.

Besides, I have also created several photo albums of different categories on the site which are available for my friends to view, distribute and make comments. Especially, after taken a trip, I can not wait to share my journey story and the beautiful scenery which baffles description with my friends. Usually, I will pick some of the best photos, sort out in order of precedence, upload to my album of tourism, write some briefings below and all of my friends can read my experience by a well-ranged series of photos. And the most expectant and cheerful thing is receiving lots of comments from my friends which makes my journey more meaningful and allows better interaction between my friends and me.

What’s more, as instant communication has always been a popular feature of social networks, an explosion of mobile applications has been developed such as Whatsapp and Instagram which are free and allow you to snap pictures and facilitate posting them to your Facebook, Microblog or Space instantly. With an improvement in quality of cameras on mobile devices and a higher speed of internet connection, people can take pictures anywhere, at anytime and upload the pictures directly to online community faster. Sometimes I capture my faces to express a sentiment as my mood of this period, while sometimes I just take several pictures of hats and send them on my Microblog in order to make a discussion with my friends helping me to decide which to buy. Photos rather than text have become a more efficient and complete way to communicate with others.

In addition, with the enhanced ability to process images with hi-tech software, people are enabled to make any possible picture which is only limited by human imagination. As we all known that Photoshop is one of the most magical and useful programs in the field of image editing. Like most of the ordinary people, I just worried about the imperfections in my face and want to make my photos look better. Therefore, I do not need to live in the pressure of looking my best at all times, just click my mouse, I can erase brown spots, have healthier looking skin, remove wrinkles or unwanted blemishes on my face. With a little more knowledge of Photoshop, people can also create their own inspiring and amazing artworks.

Because of all these factors, sharing photos with others is a necessary part of my everyday life. It serves for enhancing my enjoyment of life and furthering friendship between my friends and me.
