Photography Names - Some Tips and Ideas

So you want to create photography names that you can use on the web. It has to be a nice short name, something that will stick. Names like Fstop, DidgiPics, PhotoFirst and more. These names are most probably already taken. But don’t despair. There are an abundance of names that one could dream up.

Short and sweet.

End up with a nice short and sweet photography related name. A name that combined some unrelated words. An abbreviation of your name will also do.

Establishing a web presence.

Make sure that the name that you think out is available as a registered web name. Don’t do a lot of work and branding before you checked the availability of the name to be registered on the web.

Legal stuff.

Registering a business will follow different processes for different countries. Make sure you understand legislation and requirements to register your company. Intellectual property and trademark status might be important to you and you may want to consider registering.

Get inspiration from other businesses.

See what your competitors do and be guided by the name. You will soon find that inspiration comes from within. Do some soul-searching, what is important to you?

Get the words on a piece of paper and start combining the words together. Mix them with emotions and feelings that you and others might have for your hobby. Words of caution though, don’t rush. The mind is an interesting and intriguing piece of work. Give it some time to think about your photography name.
