Share Photos, Share Happiness

Posted May 9th, 2011

It is said that “life is drama.” Yes, in this drama, it is actually you, he or she, who is the actor/actress. In this drama, we will meet many people, some are kind, and some are unkind; we will encounter many things, some are chances, some are challenges, some are under expectation, and some are beyond expectation. So how do you deal with so many people, and so many things that appear in your life; will you just forget them, or remember them? Of course, it is up to you, but I choose to record them by photos.

I have many photos in my albums, the photos with my friends from my primary school, middle school, high school and from college, and the photos of myself when I was at different ages.

And I always love to take the photos out to share them with my friends. For we have the same experience at that time, we have the same memory. “This girl is the most beautiful, and that guy is the most handsome, so at that time I was crazy about him somehow.” “Look at this one, we got first at the game.” Then, we went back to that time, thinking of the times how we argued at first, how we cooperated, how hard we worked, and at last how we succeed. Yes, we can make it. After reviewing it, we felt happy and funny, not only because of the success, but also because of the time and the experience we had together.

It is just like reading stories while looking at the photos. This is the picture of me, when I was very young. At that time my family was very poor, so I studied hard. This is the picture when I was in difficulty, it was very he who helped me out. So I feel gratitude for him and miss him so much now. This picture is about my family together, when my sister got married. “Look, this is me, so funny.” Looking at the pictures one after another gives my friends an overall perspective of me, so they could give me their feelings, tell me how I changed, and understand me further, reevaluate me and give their advice for my future. So it is the same when looking at theirs. It is a process of recalling the back, a process of summary about the past times, and also a process of happiness.

Of course, we have many pictures about the beautiful scenery where I had travelled. This is the West Lake. But it started raining as soon as I arrived there, so I got wet around. This is the Water Cube. I was so excited to see it that I stayed there for too long time. As a consequence, I missed my train. Therefore, I stayed at the station to get on another train for 10 hours. This is an ancient town in Shanghai, famous for its “seven treasures,” there are a variety of tasty and special food there. Looking at these photos, we can feel the scenery again, enjoying its beauty, its mystery and the funny things happened there. So we can give some tips or advices for them who had not been to these places.

To conclude, sharing photos with friends is sharing experiences and sharing happiness with them.

Alfred is a programmer with a keen interest in panoramic photography. He has travelled to many places and now works for FastPano, a photo stitching software company.
